We asked some of our students why they chose to study medicine:
Since middle school, I knew that I wanted to have a future in the health care sector. I was interested in the complexity of the processes that take place in our bodies, and even more so, how to recognize and then solve a problem when one of the elements in the puzzle called 'man’ fails.
Miłosz Lipieta
I chose the faculty of medicine because I have always been interested in how the world around me, including the human body, works. In addition, I was encouraged by the rather broad prospects offered by the completion of these studies. The medical profession also requires constant contact with other people, which is very much in line with my extroverted personality. Of course, not every specialty involves equally frequent interaction with patients, so I think this should not discourage people with a more introverted disposition.
Magdalena Biernacka
To a large extent, I was drawn to medicine by… TV series on the subject. Of course, intentions are not everything, so in secondary school I decided to take classes in advanced biology, chemistry and physics. Earlier, I was also interested in the sciences, and basically until the last moment I hesitated between medicine and construction, but the desire to become a doctor prevailed.

I just felt it, I knew it was my way. Nobody in my family is a doctor, nobody even graduated from a university. There are no restrictions. Anyone can study medicine!
